Prayer

 God’s mercy, not our goodness, is the basis for answered prayers. When we pray, we can wait in eager anticipation for God to work on our behalf. 

Daniel 9:18 “We do not make requests of you (God) because we are righteous, but because of your great mercy.”

 1 John 5:14: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
